ABOUT ELIZABETH WUBISHET

BIOGRAPHY

When Elizabeth was seven years old, she wanted to be a dolphin trainer and a defense lawyer at the same time. She had to figure out a career that would allow her to play different roles and embody various characters- which led her acting.

Growing up in the metro area of the District of Columbia, she gained a wider perspective about people and their communities while helping the poor, disabled, victims of trauma, and the disadvantaged, as she joined her mom in some of her activities as a social worker. Her dad is a professor and writer from whom she learned to appreciate the weaving of thoughts and reflections through literature. The collage of these experiences enabled Elizabeth to have the self-discipline and a well-defined purpose which make hurdling of challenges much easier.

Elizabeth graduated from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, California. As an actress she has played vital roles in "Annie," "The Music Man," "Mid-Summer Night's Dream," "Scrooge," "The Sound of Music," and "Fiddler on the Roof," to mention a few. Her primary goal is to attain success in acting. Currently, she is taking a lead role in a movie production for an independent film. She is a registered member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) which is the nation's largest labor union representing working actors.

Her other interest is in being involved as a customer relations professional. She is performing related functions in her current job in a real estate agency. She is enhancing her skills in public speaking, computer technology, leadership, management, writing, and, of above all, people skills.

As president at her former high school, she successfully organized many national and local activities, fundraisers, and volunteering events for students to participate. One foremost event was being the Director of the Volunteer Program for the first Annual "Race to Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse," which took place in Washington, DC in April, 2004. Lately, she was the Theatre Director of Camp Lakota, New York during the summer of 2008 where she produced plays with children and teen campers.
